Education, work, retirement: towards more diverse life paths

How does education support the changes in our lives, from the start of adulthood through to retirement and beyond working life?

Longer working lives, career changes, learning at any age, and digital, environmental and societal transitions: our life paths no longer follow a single trajectory. They are constantly evolving and being reshaped, encouraging those involved in training, careers guidance and support to reshape their approach.

The speakers

Hélène Hoblingre

I began my career as a teaching assistant in secondary education (2008–2009) and gradually moved into roles as a training and integration officer in the private sector and the voluntary sector (2009–2014). My experience in the human resources and integration sectors has made me aware of the issue of professional self-presentation from the perspective of career development.
In 2018, I completed my PhD in Educational Sciences at the University of Strasbourg (LISEC – UR2310, Tec&Co research team) under the supervision of Jacques Audran, after which I taught for two years at the University of Lorraine and the University of Strasbourg as a research assistant (ATER).
Since 2021, I have been a senior lecturer within the Trigone team at CIREL, Faculty of Psychology and Social Sciences (PsySEF).
Throughout my academic career, I have held various administrative and academic roles: PhD student representative for the Tec & Co team (LISEC, 2015–2018), member of the scientific committee of the UNESCO Chair in ‘Journalistic and Media Practices ’ (2015–2021), and a member of the editorial board of the journal ‘TransFormations’ (since 2021).

Janick Naveteur is an emeritus senior lecturer at the University of Lille. With a PhD in psychology and accreditation to supervise research in the humanities, she has devoted her work to the study of anxiety, emotions and pain, using a psychophysiological approach. Her career path has also led her to join a multidisciplinary CNRS laboratory dedicated to sustainable transport and human mobility.

Committed to education, she has taught neuroscience to psychology students and co-directed a professional training programme focused on gerontological coordination.

Her research and teaching activities have gradually focused on the challenges of ageing and the education of older people, particularly within the academic context. In particular, she led a European Erasmus+ project on this topic.
